Requesting Items from LBC locations: Request It

The purpose of Additional LBC Locations Library Loan is to share books and other materials between LBC & Capital Seminary affiliated locations.

When to Use ALLL

Use ALLL when:

1. The item is AVAILABLE through LBC @ Lancaster, Greenbelt,  Memphis or Philadelphia 

2. You know EXACTLY what material you need.

  • Book/Item requests you must know: Title, Author, date of publication, location & call numbers
  • Article requests you must know: Journal title, Article title, author, date (month/year), volume, issue and page numbers

3. It isn't an E-BOOK/Electronic Resource

  • If you have the citation ( Full Title, Author(s), journal title,  publication date), check  Articles & Database Choosing EBOOKS from the Database Types Drop Down Menu.

​4.It isn't A FREE RESOURCE

How to Request an Book/Item:

  1. Search LBC OneSearch or Library Catalog to retrieve the item record. 
  2. Using the Request Item from LBC Location link found on the LBC Library home page, fill out the ALLL form completely. (Entering the full title of the publication)
  3. Select "Submit" to request the item. The staff process ALLL requests daily Monday-Friday

How to Request an Book/item:

  1. Search LBC OneSearch or Library Catalog to retrieve the item record. 
  2. Using the Request Item from LBC Location link found on the LBC Library home page, fill out the ALLL form completely. (Entering the full title of the publication)
  3. Please Choose "HOME ADDRESS"  
  4. In the "Comments Section" please put the address you would like the materials shipped.
  5. Select "Submit" to request the item. The staff process ALLL requests daily Monday-Friday

Helpful FAQs

Who can use ALLL? : This service is available to all students, faculty, staff and alumni of Lancaster Bible College, Capital Bible Seminary & Graduate School, Center for Urban Theological Studies (Philadelphia) and the Memphis Center for Urban Theological Studies @ Lancaster Bible College.

How long will it take? : Please allow approximately 5-10 business days for delivery. Periodical articles will be scanned and emailed to the requestor directly. For further assistance, email CircDesk@lbc.edu.

Pick-Up: Lancaster & Greenbelt

  • Books/Items: an email is sent when pick-up is available at your designated location.
  • Article requests, you will receive via email.

Pick-Up: Online, Memphis & Philadelphia 

  • Books/Items: you will receive an email with details about shipping times, and return labels.
  • Article requests, you will receive via email.

Return: Lancaster & Greenbelt

  • Please return the Book/Item to your designated location.
  • Articles need not be returned.

Return: Online, Memphis & Philadelphia 

  •  Use the prepaid packaging label & box/envelope that you received the items in. 
  • Articles need not be returned.

Overdue:

  • Overdue Items are subject to fines, account blocks, and lost item fees.
  • Overdue reminders are sent as a courtesy, and failure to receive one, for any reason, does not waive your responsibility for meeting dues dates or paying fines.
  • To ensure delivery of library notices keep your email up to date, as well as adding our email address to your spam filter's safe list. (cirdesk@lbc.edu, library@lbc.edu, ill@lbc.edu)

Renewal requests: 

  • Click on the MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT link located on the library home page.
  • Requests may also be sent to the email, CircDesk@lbc.edu before the due date 
  • Journal articles need not be returned. 

A Request may be canceled if : 

Materials are not held by any location -- Some Reference Materials  

Electronic books  -- Some Multi-volume sets -- Materials are checked-out

Complete issues of periodicals -- Special collections and archival materials
