The purpose of LBC2LBC is to share books and other materials between LBC Branch Libraries.


Due to the current limitations of library resources and closures of our Washington DC & Philadelphia Branches,

we cannot fulfill LBC2LBC Requests for physical material until further notice.

We will continue to fulfill electronic requests and scan materials as we are permitted from the Lancaster Branch.

What Can you do with LBC2LBC?

With LBC2LBC you can:

  • Place Requests for materials from other LBC Library Branches
  • Track the request
  • Check on due dates
  • Renew items

You Can Also:

  • Access Physical journal articles from other LBC Library Branches 
  • Access any articles or Book chapters you have requested as a COPY REQUEST via the LBC2LBC form in your my account, Please print or save the article or Book chapter.
  • Allow approximately 5-10 business days for delivery. Periodical Articles will be scanned and uploaded to the requestor's account

Then using your LBC credentials, authenticate.

Prior to creating your first request, set your communication preferences.

Be sure to : Enable email updates, and/or text message updates. 

Covid Restrictions

Restrictions on Requests:

Returned materials must be quarantined for 72 hours before they are available for check out. 

Requesting LBC2LBC

For Books and Articles:

  • Use the link Bellow
  • Sign in with your LBC Credentials
  • Click on the Requested tab
  • Click Create Request 
  • Choose the LBC2LBC Form 
  • Put in the information about the material you want to request
  • click Submit!

You will receive an automated notification when the item arrives and is ready for pick up. Check your account at any time to view the status of your requests.

  • Overdue Items are subject to fines, account blocks, and lost item fees.
  • Overdue reminders are sent as a courtesy, and failure to receive one, for any reason, does not waive your responsibility for meeting due dates or paying fines.
